Evan Luis Solana Cardona - Technician, Film Office

Evan is a cinematographer, photographer, editor, and educator whose work centers on creativity, curiosity, and collaboration. As a teaching artist, he supports students on their creative journeys by fostering self-expression, technical skill-building, and artistic exploration in an inclusive and supportive environment.
In his roles as a technician and digital film manager at The New School, and now as a technician and media production manager at Parsons, Evan has developed curriculum and taught production workshops in digital and analog filmmaking and cinematic lighting. He has produced training and event videos, trained students and staff on emerging digital and analog media tools, and created engagement programs for filmmakers; all with a focus on technical excellence, storytelling, and community-building. Evan’s goal is to create positive change through his work as both educator and artist.
He holds an MA in media studies and film production. Outside of media work, Evan can be found hiking with his wife, experimenting in the kitchen, or playing D&D with friends.
