Stefano Castro - Technician, Photography & Media Resources

Stefano is a Colombian-American photographer and filmmaker interested in reframing cultural narratives through visual arts, community organization, and holistic education. After receiving a BA from Wesleyan University in Film and Integrated Design, Stefano has focused on generational stories, exploring family relationships to their personal identities, memories, and communities through analog photography and archival intervention. In 2021, he was awarded a National Geographic Young Explorer grant to start a Latine arts community called El Parque Collective, which is dedicated to providing equitable education resources and platforms for visibility for Latine artists interested in learning about and preserving their histories on their own terms.
