At this time, general campus access is available to all Parsons students, and most Making Center spaces are open, with adjusted availability. All students — regardless of their vaccination status — are required to take a PCR COVID-19 test within 7 days prior to visiting campus for the first time this Spring. All community members must receive a booster by January 21, even if you have recently tested positive. Making Center orientations are required for access.
Start Here: Orientation
All students are required to complete the general Making Center orientation online before getting oriented to a specific lab/shop/studio. Sign in using your New School login and complete the "General Orientation" to start.
Campus Space / Equipment Use
Open work space in the Making Center is available for all Parsons students who have submitted the required testing. The use of most on-campus tools and equipment requires prior orientation or training.
Equipment and tool checkouts are available for off-campus use for up to 7 days (with appropriate orientation and training). You may be required to complete an online consultation with a technician beforehand.
Policies and Guidelines
Parsons supports a making culture where everyone shares responsibility for safety, we help and support one another, innovation is encouraged and positive experiences are created.
The Making Center Store
The Making Center Store provides a wide variety of making supplies for sale. These items are in direct conjunction with the resources available to the students at the Making Center.
