Kat Nash is a decorative artist and designer that creates home objects with the goal of encouraging play. Home objects hold incredible power as they affect the user’s daily experiences. Kat utilizes this power to embolden deeper interaction. Kat employs imagery and forms associated with playgrounds and combines them with adult proportions and activities. They meld the two worlds and prompt adults to let down their guards and freely engage with the people and objects around them.
Kat has been working at Parsons since 2022 where they have worked in the Wood and Metal shops as a Technician and now Assistant Manager. The community of the E4 shop is one that they cherish deeply and aim to grow.
