Sewing Construction Classrooms & Workrooms

Open to: all students who have had necessary training with equipment and processes

Academic Year Update

The Sewing Construction Classrooms will open at the beginning of the Fall semester, Wednesday August 27th

Classrooms and Open studios are open during building hours during the Fall and Spring Semesters with the exception of facilities closures.

For access to machines, worktables, irons, or dress forms visit open studios 429/430 or 506.

Each classroom contains a variety of industrial sewing machines, worktables, dress forms, and industrial irons (now with steamers and sleeve boards!). Spaces are reserved for assigned classes but serve as open communal workspace when classes are not taking place. These communal classroom and work spaces serve many users and must be maintained as such.

UC Classroom List: 300, 400, 402, 405, 406, 412, 417, 418, 500, 504, 509, 510, 511, 515, 516 Open only to CPE classes

UC Open Work Rooms/Studios: 428, 429/430, 506 Open to all

No food or drink allowed. No overnight storage available.

*Note: The Making Center General Orientation must be completed to gain access to all lab or shop specific orientations

 

 

About the Sewing Construction Classrooms & Workrooms

The rooms contain a variety of industrial sewing machines. Technicians are not able to assist on machines in the moment; please come to your consultation prepared to discuss your machine comfort level so we can best support you.
